Rooms

Rooms (also called locations) divide an assignment into areas — "Kitchen", "Garage", "Unit 214". They keep large losses organized so the downstream team can find everything.

Add a room

  1. Open the assignment.
  2. Tap Add room.
  3. Name it clearly — match the real-world space ("Master Bedroom", not "Room 1").
  4. Tap Save. The room opens, ready for capture.

TIP

Create rooms as you walk the property. A quick, consistent naming pattern ("Floor 2 — Bedroom A") pays off later when there are dozens of them.

Inside a room

A room shows a grid of everything captured there:

  • Individual photos, videos, and audio.
  • Groups — bundles of multiple angles of one item.

From here you tap Capture to add more, or tap any item to review it, add details, or tag it.

Reorder, rename, remove

  • Reorder rooms to match your walkthrough — drag, or use the room's menu.
  • Rename anytime from the room's menu.
  • Remove a room from its menu. Removing a room also removes the media inside it, so you'll be asked to confirm.

WARNING

Deleting is for genuine mistakes (a duplicate or empty room). If real evidence was captured in the wrong room, move it rather than delete — see Groups & organization. When in doubt, keep it.

Room details

Some loss types attach questions to each room (e.g. "Smoke damage in this room?"). If your assignment has them, you'll see a Details section at the top of the room — see Loss & item details.

Next: Capturing media.
