Install the app

Contents Capture runs on iPhone and Android phones and tablets.

Requirements

  • iOS 15+ or Android 10+
  • About 2 GB of free storage to start (more for large video jobs — see below)
  • Camera, microphone, and location permissions (you'll be asked on first use)

Get it

iPhone / iPad

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for Contents Capture (or open the install link your admin sent you).
  3. Tap Get, then open the app.

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Search for Contents Capture (or open the install link your admin sent you).
  3. Tap Install, then open the app.

NOTE

If your organization distributes the app internally (not via the public stores), your admin will send you a direct install link and short instructions. The app itself works exactly the same.

Allow permissions

When you first capture, the app asks for:

PermissionWhy it's needed
CameraTo take photos and record video.
MicrophoneTo record audio notes and video sound.
LocationTo stamp captures with GPS — only if your admin enabled it.

You can capture photos and video without location; GPS stamping simply won't be recorded. You can change permissions anytime in your phone's Settings.

Storage tips for big jobs

Large losses can mean thousands of high-resolution files. The app keeps the full-resolution original on your device until it's safely uploaded, so:

  • Start a big job with several GB free.
  • Stay on Wi-Fi when you can so uploads keep up (see Working offline & sync).
  • The app automatically frees space once files are confirmed in the cloud.
