Welcome to the field

This guide gets you from invited to capturing high-quality, organized loss documentation — quickly and with confidence that nothing will be lost.

The big picture

You'll work inside an assignment — one claim or loss. An assignment is organized into rooms, and you add media (photos, video, audio) to each room. Optionally, you bundle multiple shots of one item into a group.

That's the whole mental model. Everything else — timestamps, GPS, the questions you answer — is set up for you by your admin so you can focus on capturing.

Three things to trust

1. You can always capture. No signal? No problem. Everything saves to your phone first. See Working offline & sync.
2. Nothing is lost. Each file is verified and uploaded in the background; the full-resolution original is kept for the final report.
3. It tells you the truth. A sync status screen shows exactly what's safe in the cloud and what's still pending.
